NavWorld breaking glass ceilings

NavWorld breaking glass ceilings more prize money for the Ladies The Bezhoek Extreme MTB Festival

As Billie Jean King fought for equal pay for women athletes by highlight the prize discrepancy in the famous Battle of the Sexes, NavWorld have done something NO other event has done in the mountain biking scene in South Africa.

MORE Money for the very strong Ladies Category!

It takes innovation to change a culture, and we hope this will be one of those points in history which starts a revolution. I am sure all ladies  will be supporting this brand and participating in events sponsored by NavWorld.

CEO of Navworld, Roan Rossouw says, “We’ve noticed the keen interest as well as the stronger pro-ladies field and want to use this as an opportunity to celebrate participation and amplify the awareness of female participation in cycling”.

“Female participant at mountain biking events make up about 25% of the total entries and it drops to as low as 10% in the Elite categories. Just because there are fewer ladies that ride professionally doesn’t mean the competition is less and it certainly doesn’t mean they should have to compete for less prize money” From @dirtyheartmtb

Amy Beth Mcdougall, Theresa Ralph, Sarah Hill, Vanessa Bell, Yolandi du Toit &  Samantha Sanders!

Event Date: 1 – 3 June 2018

The Bezhoek Extreme MTB Festival is an awesome, 3-day event that is being hosted for the first time at Bezuidenhoutshoek Nature Reserve. These routes will not be open to the public and you’ll have the opportunity to be one of the first riders to tackle these exclusive routes.

Let’s face it, the events calendar is littered with stage races where races are reduced to, and riders are charged for, district road riding. We did not like that, so we set out to create an event that will remind you what mountain biking is all about… exhilarating single track, trails that have never been ridden before and water points that’ll take your breath away.

The Farm is situated in the Olifants River valley in Middelburg, Mpumalanga and is designated as irreplaceable and highly significant in terms of the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Authority’s bio diversity assessment criteria which qualify it to be registered as a Protected area. The Olifants and Klein Olifants rivers converge in the North Western corner of the farm and meander on to Loskop and the Kruger National Park.
