Two Passes Route

This beautifully scenic route comes with more than enough sting in the tail to test your endurance. Get ready early on for the ascent up Muller’s Pass (7.8km), taking in the beautiful views over the Cathedral Peak area and Lost Valley as you steadily crunch your way to the summit at 1.835m.

Keep left at the Memel sign to enjoy the roller-coaster ride to Normandien Pass, one of the many highlights along this section of the S783.

From ‘Noah’s Ark’ road, you can gaze across Newcastle and the shimmering Chelmsford Dam before bucketing along a 7km white-knuckle ride down the pass. Double-check your brakes, as this descent is technically demanding and very steep in places. Turn left at the T-junction for a final 12km on tar back to the Muller’s Pass General Dealer.
