Bart Brentjens’ KMC Nukeproof Mountainbike Racing Team is proud to announce the signing of one of the Netherlands’ most promising young mountain bike athletes, Bloeme Kalis (DOB March 27, 2006).
The talented rider joins the Team as part of its long-term vision to develop the next generation of international mountain bike champions. Known for her determination, technical skills, and strong performances, Kalis has established herself as one of the prospects in international mountain bike.
Last week she won her first UCI World Series XCC in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.
“We are excited to welcome Bloeme to our Team”, said Bart Brentjens, Team Manager and first Olympic Champion XCO (Atlanta, USA 1996).
“Bloeme is a great Dutch mountain bike talent. In a relatively short time, she has already shown what she is capable of. It is important to nurture such talents. After a few conversations, it quickly became apparent that both Bloeme’s ambitions and our Team’s ambitions align perfectly.
I am proud that she has chosen our Team and has the confidence to further develop herself with us. As a Team, we look forward to working together on her ambitions.”
For Kalis, joining the Team marks an important milestone in her sporting career.
“Joining the KMC Nukeproof Mountainbike Racing Team represents an important step in
my development as an athlete. I chose this Team because of its professional environment,
strong focus on rider development, and commitment to excellence.
My ambition is to continue improving my technical skills, gain valuable racing experience, and learn from the coaches and teammates around me. In return, I aim to contribute with dedication, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, while proudly representing the Team of Bart Brentjens both on and off the bike.
I look forward to growing together with the Team and achieving new goals in the years ahead.”
The addition of Kalis further underlines the Team’s commitment to investing in young talent and building towards future succes on the International stage. With its Olympic-focused development philosophy and decades of experience, Bart Brentjens’ KMC Nukeproof Mountainbike Racing Team continues to provide ambitious riders with the platform to reach their full potential.
Bloeme Kalis will make her ‘official’ Team debut in the Team’s colours later this season. Bloeme will join the Team for the upcoming World Series in La Thuile, Italy and Pal-Arinsal, Andorra, to gain additional experience and get used to the Team culture.
