Are you ready for the all-new Hollard JUMA 72km Punisher?
For those of you who completed the Hollard JUMA in previous years feeling you still had just that little bit left in the tank, we’ve got a little something in store for you to ensure that this year, you leave it all on the trail. We’re proud to introduce the 72km, yes 72km, all new Hollard JUMA Punisher route.
The Punisher is a combination of the best sections of the 22km & 54km route and is designed to give die-hard riders a real ride for their money.
Mark Castel, Event Organiser, BAM Event & Experience Creators gives some insight into the new route, “This year we’ve launched our 72km Punisher and it’s going to be a challenge. 72km of Hollard JUMA isn’t easy, it’s technical, and with all the scaffolding, climbs and stormwater drains you’ll work hard not to blow. The aim is to punish you, but you’ll come out feeling like you’ve achieved something extraordinary. All that pain comes with the reward, every rider who completes The Punisher will also receive a special medal & Punisher t-shirt.” The Punisher will also reward riders with scenic routes, unusual obstacles and picturesque views that have proved a hallmark of the Hollard JUMA over the years. From graffiti emblazoned tunnels to the water bridges over Emmarentia; the Hollard JUMA makes sure that the climbs are not the only thing leaving you short of breath. If this isn’t incentive enough, the men and women the legs and lungs to come out on top will win their share of R12 000 in cash prizes. The Punisher will be limited to the first 300 entrants so make sure you book your spot ASAP.
And if all that doesn’t get you gripping your handlebars in anticipation, nothing will. Tickets for the 72km Punisher are R593, R488 for the 54km and R360 for the 22km.
