The Rotary Club of Hermanus, together with the learners of the Hermanus High School, is counting down the days to the 2016 FNB Wines2Whales (W2W) Mountain Bike (MTB) Events.

This year’s STBB 2Keep-a-Breast MTB Challenge and Family Day will be taking place on 22 October 2016 at Overgaauw Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. The aim of this event is to raise funds to combat breast cancer, and all proceeds are donated to CANSA.

The 3-stage Winelands Encounter, which has earned the tagline “South Africa’s most beautiful Race”, takes place on 21-23 April 2017 and covers the historical towns of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Wellington – the most beautiful part of the Cape Winelands with the most scenic mountains, best MTB trails and, don’t forget, the best wine!

TransCape MTB is an iconic seven-day South African mountain biking journey over 675km taking 130 intrepid adventurers over seven incredible stages and 12 000m of vertical ascent from the picturesque Garden Route town of Knysna to Franschhoek in the Cape Winelands.
