10km Fun Ride introduced to Origin Of Trails MTB Experience
Celebrating its 6th anniversary in November, South Africa’s Premier 2-day MTB Experience the Origin of Trails introduces a new 10km Fun Ride. The organizers of South Africa’s Premier 2-day MTB Experience, the Origin Of Trails MTB Experience are excited to introduce a 10km Fun Ride to the 2018 celebration! “Since its inception in 2013 the Origin Of Trails MTB Experience has been heralded as the MTB party of the year,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director Stillwater Sports. “By introducing a 10km Fun Ride we are able to invite junior MTB enthusiasts to the party. The Fun Ride is open to ages 8 and up and will take place on Saturday, 24 November. The excitement continues with the introduction of a Turbo E-bike category in association with Specialized Bicycles Africa. We are also inviting trail runners to join in on the fun by introducing a 5km and 12-15km Origin Of Trails Trail Run on the Sunday. Origin Of Trails MTB Experience
According to Corrie Muller, Origin Of Trails Route Designer, the Origin Of Trails 10km Fun Ride features a 150m ascent. “This route is ideal for beginners and up-and-coming MTB fanatics,” says Muller. “The terrain will mainly feature open and groomed gravel roads, easy flat single track that is shaded by trees on the edge of the Eerste River. Iconic sections to look out for will include Coetzenburg`s XCO Track and magnificent views of Stellenbosch and its mountains. True to Origin Of Trails style there will be a climb in the beginning, but it’s nothing to worry about. Enjoy the beautiful view and downhill thereafter.”
