It looks like after missing the Epic last year she is steaming into the history books with her new partner, the young dynamic and quick learner Kate Courtney. The pair make a very exciting partnership, Kate has bought an element of fun to Annika.
The Songo.info Specialized outfit have shown their ability to manage all the variables which will end in a dominating overall win; technical, mechanical, health, nutrition and mental focus.
Annika – most important thing now is to stay focused. I really enjoyed these trails, it was good to ride at our own pace instead of being forced into someone else pace. Kate has been an amazing partner, she is taking all the good stuff from me and we are developing a good partnership. It is fun riding together.
Kate – It was a really fun stage.Everyday is a race, everyday we pull up to the white line and it is a race to see who can get back there first.
Robyn – it was a nice enjoyable stage, our game plan was to get 2nd on podium & we achieved that today. Hard work is done we need to maintain 2nd place, keep it consistent. Sabine – we a little older and takes longer to warm up and not everyday is a good day. Robyn was really strong today, we also have different style of racing.
