Strava riders cycled 5.8 billion km in 2016
How many km did you log on Strava this year? Collectively, we the digitally obsessed riders notched a whopping 5,793,638,402.21289 kilometers on the social fitness site in 2016.
While there were plenty of commuting miles and ordinary rides uploaded, there were also files like Greg Van Avermaet’s Olympic road race win uploaded. That last one garnered the most kudos (of the 1.3 billion given this year).
1.3 Billion Kudos worldwide – Kudos – Athletes on Strava don’t “like” each other’s activities, they give kudos. Kudos is about honouring an achievement. It’s giving praise and showing a little respect. Running and cycling are a lot of fun, but they are pretty damn hard sometimes, too… so we’re always keen to give each other some support. Kudos is a subtle distinction, but for us, it makes a difference.
