Banhoek Valley on display during Stage Two of the Origin Of Trails Long Route
Stage Two of the Origin Of Trails MTB Experience Long Route will start at the Coetzenburg Sports Fields (Stellenbosch) on Sunday, 25 November 2018. Riders will be pitted against a magnificent +-52km MTB route that boasts a 1600m vertical ascent. like Stage One, Stage Two of the Origin Of Trails MTB Experience Long Route will be best enjoyed by entrants who have put in their Winter miles,” says Corrie Muller, Origin Of Trails Route Designer. “Two long climbs await riders. The first climb at the start will again be 5.5km in length. Once the riders turn into Banhoek they will be met by the second climb that is 3.5km in length. Riders can look forward to a combination of fast, rocky single track and long climbs.”

“This year Stage Two boasts a bird’s-eye view of Banhoek,” continues Muller. “The old favorite, Skyfall and its smaller buddies will give riders a whopping 5km descent into the valley below. Heat is always a possibility in November. Be sure to spare some energy for the last climb. Remember this is the last stage, be sure to enjoy every minute.”
