Hello Kelsey Urban! January 7, 2025 The current National American Champion XCO and XCC is joining the Team, starting the ride towards LA2028

Ready to start our Team’s Mission Part 5 –
Heading to the USA, Los Angeles, home of the the Olympic Games in 2028, we are happy
and proud to announce our ‘last new rider on the team’, and welcome Kelsey Urban
(USA, born August 4, 1998).
Kelsey is the current 2024 National American Champion Elite Women XCO and XCC.
How Kelsey get passionate about mountain biking?
As a young girl, Kelsey grew up, sharing the love for cycling with her family, on the back of a four-seater tandem bike!
There she felt the freedom of riding her bike and enjoying the outdoors.
At 15, Kelsey joined her high school mountain bike team, and there she started to
experience the joy of competing at national level. Her development as a mountain bike
athlete went quickly, and over the past 12 years she already achieved many great
achievements.
Bart Brentjens, Team Director of ‘KMC Ridley Mountainbike Racing Team’:
“On our way to the 2028 Olympic Games, which will take place in Los Angeles, USA, it is
extra cool to start this ride with Kelsey! It would be amazing to see her race her first
Olympic Games in 2028, especially since Kelsey was born in California.
Working towards goals together, with an athlete like Kelsey, that is what we love and what
drives us! We are very happy to welcome Kelsey to the team. Kelsey is passionate about
the challenge of learning to push her body and mind to new limits and sharing cycling
with more people.
Kelsey graduated from Stanford in 2020 and now lives in Fairfax, California. Where
mountain biking began in 1973.
We see a lot of similarities between Kelsey as a person and a mountain biker, and the
vision, goals and ambitions of our Team. To me, Kelsey is what mountain biking is all about.
We are excited to be working with Kelsey!
I believe that together with Kelsey, we can make the ‘American Dream’ come true.”
Kelsey Urban, International Elite Women rider:
“I’m excited to open a new chapter with KMC Ridley and share in the knowledge they
have compiled as one of the longest running teams on the circuit. Consistency and
integrity are some qualities I believe are most essential to performance and my
relationships with KMC Ridley has embodied that so far. I look forward to giving my best
alongside and with them.”
