Thaba’Nkwe Blue Trail

Thaba’Nkwe Lodge is on the R510 between Thabazimbi and Northam — a Waterberg Bushveld lodge offering four trail options from easy to extreme on double track and gravel road terrain through the Bushveld. The Blue Trail is the intermediate option: 20km of clear gravel double track through the characteristic mopane and mixed bushveld of the western Waterberg with consistent wildlife encounters throughout.

What to Expect

Double track and gravel roads on moderately rolling Waterberg Bushveld terrain. The clear double track character makes navigation easy and the riding flowing. Wildlife on the game-rich western Waterberg farms — impala, kudu, zebra and warthog — creates constant interest. The Waterberg mountain scenery visible from the higher sections provides an inspiring backdrop.
