Hoedspruit 10km Savanna Ride
Hoedspruit is one of Limpopo’s busiest wildlife tourism gateway towns — a Lowveld centre near the Kruger’s Orpen Gate surrounded by private game reserves and the flat mopane Bushveld characteristic of the Lowveld. The 10km Savanna Ride follows gravel farm roads through this flat terrain for a short, relaxed wildlife-backdrop riding session. Giraffe and zebra are frequently visible from the roads.
What to Expect
Easy gravel roads on flat Lowveld terrain. No technical demands. The primary draw is the wildlife context — giraffe, zebra, impala and a remarkable diversity of Lowveld birds create a constantly interesting riding environment even on a short, simple route. Ride very early morning in summer — the heat by mid-morning can be prohibitive.
