Karkloof 60km Extreme Route

The Karkloof 60km Extreme is the venue’s apex challenge — one of the longest and most technically demanding single-venue trail rides in KwaZulu-Natal. Five to seven hours of technical forest singletrack through the full Karkloof Conservancy trail system, with maximum elevation change, all technical features and the sustained challenge that has made this route a benchmark for KZN’s advanced riders.

What to Expect

Highly technical forest singletrack on expert terrain across the full extent of the trail system. All technical features, the steepest rocky sections and the full physical demand of 60km with significant elevation gain combine for a full-day expert commitment. Only attempt this route with full preparation — start before 07:00, carry adequate nutrition and water, and have the fitness and technical skills for the demands ahead.
