Glengarry Kamberg 60km Loop

The Glengarry Kamberg 60km Loop is one of KwaZulu-Natal’s genuine epic rides — a full-day expert route from Glengarry Farm through the Drakensberg foothills with gravel roads, technical singletrack and mountain tracks delivering sustained physical and technical challenge in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the KZN midlands-Drakensberg transition zone.

What to Expect

Gravel roads, singletrack and mountain tracks on expert terrain with significant elevation change through the Kamberg Valley and surrounding Drakensberg foothills. The 60km distance at altitude with sustained technical sections makes this a full-day commitment — plan for 6–8 hours in the saddle. The views across the Kamberg Valley and toward the Drakensberg escarpment are extraordinary throughout.

Critical Notes

Start before 07:00 to avoid afternoon thunderstorms. Carry 3L+ water, emergency supplies and full nutrition. The farm accommodation makes a multi-day trip logical — arrive the day before and recover the day after for the full Kamberg experience.
