Winterton Forest Trail

Winterton is the gateway town to Champagne Valley and the Central Drakensberg — a small farming and tourism town surrounded by productive dairy farms and commercial plantation forests in the Drakensberg foothills. The 20km Forest Trail uses the forest road and singletrack network above the town on moderate terrain with Drakensberg foothills character.

What to Expect

Forest tracks and singletrack on moderately rolling plantation forest terrain. The plantation forest sections are open and fast — eucalyptus and pine plantation roads with occasional indigenous bush breaks.
