God’s Window Panorama Ride

God’s Window is one of South Africa’s most celebrated viewpoints — a narrow gap in the Escarpment rim at 1,730m above sea level where the Lowveld drops precipitously 1,000m below and the view extends east across the Kruger National Park toward Mozambique on clear days. The 18km Panorama Ride climbs from Graskop to the God’s Window viewpoint and back on gravel roads and forest paths.

What to Expect

Gravel roads and forest paths on moderately hilly Escarpment rim terrain. The climb to God’s Window is sustained but the summit reward — the famous view across the entire Lowveld to the Mozambique border — justifies every metre of climbing. The indigenous forest on the Escarpment rim creates atmospheric enclosed sections on the approach to the viewpoint.
