Phabeni Gate Bushveld Ride
Phabeni Gate is one of Kruger’s quieter western entrances — a less-visited entry point in the southern section of the park that offers guided MTB rides through prime Lowveld bushveld without the crowds of Skukuza. The 18km guided ride explores the game roads around the Phabeni area through characteristic southern Kruger bushveld — mixed thornveld with good elephant, giraffe, zebra and plains game populations.
What to Expect
Guided gravel game roads on flat to gently rolling Lowveld bushveld terrain. The southern Kruger around Phabeni is known for excellent elephant and buffalo sightings. The guided MTB experience delivers a level of proximity to wildlife that vehicle-based game drives cannot match — at slow speeds on a bicycle, the bush awareness and wildlife encounter quality is exceptional.
