Graskop Gorge Swing Trail

Graskop Gorge is one of the Panorama Route’s most spectacular features — a narrow, dramatic gorge carved into the Escarpment below the town of Graskop, now famous for the Graskop Gorge Lift Centre with its gondola descent into the gorge and the legendary Big Swing. The 12km Gorge Swing Trail follows the gorge rim on gravel tracks and forest paths with the gorge visible throughout.

What to Expect

Gravel tracks and forest paths on moderately rolling gorge rim terrain. The gorge views are dramatic throughout — the narrow gorge drops sheer below the rim trail with the gorge vegetation visible far below. Combine the riding with a gondola descent or Big Swing for a complete Graskop adventure day — the combination of MTB and gorge adrenaline activities is one of the Escarpment’s most popular day-trip formulas.
