Mac-Mac Falls Loop
Mac-Mac Falls is one of Mpumalanga’s most spectacular waterfall attractions — twin waterfalls dropping 65m into a pool at the base of an indigenous forest gorge on the Mac-Mac River. The 15km loop follows forest roads and singletrack to the falls with the waterfall as the natural centrepiece and reward of the route.
What to Expect
Forest roads and singletrack on moderately rolling forest terrain to the falls and back. The indigenous forest along the Mac-Mac River valley creates an enclosed, atmospheric riding environment. The waterfall viewpoint is the centrepiece — the twin falls are at their most spectacular after rain when the flow is at its greatest. Plan for time to appreciate the falls before the return.
