Malelane Gorge View
Malelane is a Kruger gateway town on the Crocodile River — the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park. The 20km Gorge View loop follows gravel roads along the Crocodile River valley with the Kruger boundary on the north bank — elephant, hippopotamus and crocodile are frequently visible in and along the river, and a variety of Lowveld game ventures to the southern bank.
What to Expect
Gravel roads and dirt tracks on flat to gently rolling Lowveld valley terrain alongside the Crocodile River. The river boundary creates consistent wildlife viewing opportunities — do not cross the river or enter the Kruger boundary fence. Hippopotamus and crocodile in the river, elephant on the northern bank and the subtropical Lowveld vegetation create an immersive bush riding environment.
Getting There
Malelane is on the N4 east of Nelspruit. GPS: -25.4789, 31.5312.
