Northam Savanna Sprint
Northam sits in the western Waterberg on the R510 — a small town on the platinum belt between Thabazimbi and the North West Province boundary. The surrounding savanna terrain is flat and open with large commercial platinum mines on the horizon and the characteristic Bushveld vegetation of the western Waterberg plateau. The 20km sprint is a relaxed, accessible gravel ride through this working landscape.
What to Expect
Easy gravel farm roads on flat Western Waterberg savanna terrain. The mining town context adds an industrial element to the Bushveld riding environment. Game on the surrounding farms — kudu, impala and warthog — provides wildlife interest on the road margins.
