Buffalo City Coastal Sprint
Buffalo City (East London) sits on the Indian Ocean coast with a string of surf beaches from Orient Beach to Nahoon Reef, and the coastal trail network links these beaches through dune vegetation and clifftop paths. The 15km Coastal Sprint delivers Indian Ocean views throughout on a fast, enjoyable intermediate coastal route.
What to Expect
Coastal singletrack, dune paths and promenade connections on flat to gently rolling coastal terrain. The Indian Ocean is visible for most of the route and the beach atmosphere — surfers, swimmers and the salt air — makes this a uniquely Eastern Cape urban riding experience. Some sections are shared with pedestrians — ride at an appropriate pace.
Getting There
Start at the East London beachfront promenade. GPS: -32.9823, 27.9134.
