Tsitsikamma Forest Trail

The Tsitsikamma Forest Trail is the full forest riding experience in one of South Africa’s most ancient and biodiverse indigenous forest environments. The Tsitsikamma is dominated by towering Outeniqua yellowwoods (some over 800 years old), forest milkwoods, candlewoods and tree ferns — a forest of extraordinary scale and ecological complexity. The 35km advanced trail pushes deep into this magnificent environment on technical singletrack.

What to Expect

Technical forest singletrack on advanced terrain with significant elevation change in the river gorge sections. The forest creates an enclosed, cathedral-like riding environment — ancient trees, mossy rocks, the sound of forest birds and the faint sound of the ocean below. Rocky technical sections on the gorge approaches and descents require full technical skill. This is one of the finest forest rides in South Africa.
