Dordrecht Mountain Pass
Dordrecht sits in a bowl of mountains in the northeastern Eastern Cape — surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Stormberg range and within sight of the Drakensberg escarpment. The 25km Mountain Pass Loop climbs out of the town bowl over a challenging gravel pass with rocky mountain terrain and panoramic views across the Eastern Cape highlands.
What to Expect
Gravel pass road and rocky singletrack on mountainous terrain with significant elevation gain. The climb is sustained and demanding. From the pass summit, views extend across the Stormberg mountains toward the Drakensberg escarpment — one of the finest mountain panoramas accessible by MTB in the northeastern Eastern Cape. The descent is fast and technical on loose gravel.
