Turfloop Nature Reserve Trail

Turfloop Nature Reserve lies just west of the University of Limpopo’s Turfloop campus — a provincially administered reserve protecting the characteristic Polokwane area Bushveld east of the capital. The 15km trail combines singletrack and reserve tracks through the reserve’s open savanna with game viewing throughout. A practical riding destination for Polokwane-based riders and students at the nearby university.

What to Expect

Singletrack and reserve tracks on moderately rolling Bushveld terrain. Kudu, impala, warthog and the characteristic birds of the Polokwane area Bushveld are regularly encountered. The reserve’s open savanna character creates good visibility for wildlife spotting while riding.
