Magaliesberg 15km Scenic

Magaliesburg village sits on the southern slopes of the Magaliesberg — a beloved weekend destination from Johannesburg and Pretoria with wine farms, craft shops, country restaurants and boutique accommodation in the shadow of the ancient quartzite range. The 15km Scenic Loop follows gravel roads and singletrack through the foothills north and west of the village with the Magaliesberg’s dramatic ridgeline as a constant backdrop.

What to Expect

Gravel roads and singletrack on moderately hilly southern Magaliesberg foothills terrain. The Magaliesberg’s southern foothills are exceptionally scenic — rocky quartzite outcrops, mixed Bushveld and the characteristic fig trees, wild olives and mountain aloes of the Magaliesberg create a beautiful riding environment. Plan for post-ride wine tasting at one of the valley wine estates.
