Boskop Dam Loop
Boskop Dam Nature Reserve is a popular recreational destination near Potchefstroom (now JB Marks) — a dam reserve on the Mooi River providing fishing, boating and nature reserve facilities for the North West University town community. The 18km gravel loop follows the reserve roads alongside the dam on flat, easy terrain with good waterbird and wetland birdlife throughout.
What to Expect
Easy gravel roads on flat dam-edge terrain. The Highveld grassland vegetation surrounding the dam creates an open riding environment with the dam as a consistent visual anchor. Good waterbird viewing throughout and the relaxed dam recreation atmosphere make this a pleasant, unhurried riding option.
