Mahikeng Game Reserve Loop

Mahikeng Game Reserve is a North West Parks reserve on the edge of the provincial capital — a game reserve with white rhino and a diversity of antelope species in the dry Bushveld landscape of the western North West Province. The 20km loop follows the reserve’s gravel game roads through this surprisingly wild terrain within easy reach of the city centre.

What to Expect

Gravel reserve roads on moderately rolling dry Bushveld terrain. White rhino are the reserve’s signature species — well-established and regularly seen near the reserve roads. The dry thornveld vegetation of the western North West creates a distinctive, arid riding environment different from the Magaliesberg corridor to the east.
