Eagle Cove 10km Loop

The Eagle Cove 10km Loop is the flagship trail at Kumbagana Game Park — the longest and most demanding of the three base camp circuits, covering the full extent of the Eagle Cove trail system through the Magaliesberg kloofs, mountain ridgelines and indigenous bush terrain. The trail system description notes ‘excellent panoramic views’ and ‘a lot of game, good number of birds and indigenous trees’ — making this a full mountain adventure experience in the heart of the Rustenburg Magaliesberg.

What to Expect

Mountain trails on demanding rocky Magaliesberg terrain with the complete kloof descent experience, multiple ladder sections and mountain stream crossings. The full circuit accesses all of the trail system’s terrain highlights including the highest viewpoints. Game encounters — kudu, klipspringer, vervet monkey and the park’s resident black eagles — are most likely on the longer circuit’s more remote sections.
