Madibeng Forest Loop

Madibeng Local Municipality encompasses Brits and the northern Hartbeespoort Dam catchment — a diverse area of game farms, smallholdings and agricultural land on the Magaliesberg’s northern foothills. The 18km Forest Loop follows gravel roads through this mixed terrain with the Magaliesberg rising to the south and the flat North West Bushveld extending north.

What to Expect

Gravel roads and plantation tracks on moderately rolling Magaliesberg foothills terrain. Mixed Bushveld vegetation on the rocky quartzite foothills, game on the surrounding farms and the Magaliesberg’s ridgeline as a consistent visual backdrop. A convenient intermediate loop for Brits-area residents and Hartbeespoort visitors.
