Ingeli Forest Resort 10km Loop

The Ingeli Forest is one of southern KwaZulu-Natal’s most magnificent indigenous forest areas — a large indigenous forest complex in the southern midlands near Creighton dominated by enormous Podocarpus yellowwoods, Cape chestnuts and a dense, layered forest understorey. The Ingeli Forest Resort has developed trails through this extraordinary environment and the 10km Loop explores the forest on singletrack.

What to Expect

Forest singletrack on moderately rolling forest terrain through a mix of indigenous forest and pine plantation. The indigenous forest sections are the highlight — dense, dark and atmospheric with tall yellowwoods creating a canopy that filters the light dramatically. Forest birds including Knysna turaco, southern ground hornbill and various forest sunbirds are frequently encountered.
