Magoebaskloof Cheerio Gardens Trail

The Magoebaskloof TMA Green Route is the centrepiece of the Tourism Magoebaskloof Association’s trail network — a 25km intermediate loop designed to link the area’s key tourism establishments through some of the most scenic farmland and forest terrain in the region. Starting from the famous Cheerio Tea Garden, the route winds through avocado farms, past indigenous forest patches and along the edges of SAPPI plantation to Stanford Lake College and back.

The TMA Trail System

The TMA trail network was established by the Tourism Magoebaskloof Association — a collaborative initiative among the area’s farm and tourism operators. The four-route system covers nearly 60km in total. Permits at R40 per day are available from Cheerio Trout Lodge and Magoebaskloof Adventures, with children under 12 riding free. The trails are suitable for hiking and MTB and are regularly maintained by the participating establishments.
