Bloemendal South MTB Trail

Bloemendal South Trail at Bloemendal Trail Park is the flagship hub of the Tygerberg MTB Club network — and for many Cape Town riders, it’s where their mountain biking life began. Located on the Bloemendal Wine Estate in the Durbanville Hills, the trail park provides an extraordinary range of experiences in a single venue: a purpose-built pump track for absolute beginners, children’s singletrack through a shaded forest, flowing blue intermediate trails, the legendary Bloemendaaler (rated 4.9/5 on Trailforks for berms, rollers and optional jumps), and the challenging upper red and black routes linked via Hillcrest with views over Table Bay and Robben Island.

Bloemendal Trail Park Café and Bar

The Trail Park Café is the social hub of Cape Town’s MTB community — open until 9pm on selected evenings, serving beer on tap, coffee, cold drinks and hot food. Giant Bikes on-site provides hire bikes and retail. Regular events, Thursday Night Rides (weather dependent) and children’s parties make this the most complete trail hub in the Western Cape.
