Rosemary Hill Long Loop
The Rosemary Hill long loop is the full immersion in one of Pretoria East’s most popular trail venues — a 33km circuit that covers every terrain zone within the Rosemary Hill property, from the aromatic rosemary field sections that give the venue its name to the shaded bluegum woodland corridors and open farm grassland that make up the longer distance route. At intermediate difficulty throughout, it is the natural choice for regular cyclists who have completed the shorter 10km option and want to extend their Rosemary Hill experience.
The Long Loop
The 33km circuit extends the standard Rosemary Hill network with additional farm terrain to the east of the property — sections that most day-trippers on the shorter loops never reach, adding a more remote character to the later stages of the ride. The flowing singletrack character that defines the venue is maintained throughout: no sustained technical rocky sections, no intimidating descents, but consistently enjoyable flow and varied scenery that keeps the 33km from feeling repetitive. The bluegum woodland sections in particular provide a distinctive atmosphere — shaded, aromatic and fast-flowing on well-maintained trail surface. The bike rental availability at Rosemary Hill makes the long loop accessible to visitors from outside Pretoria who cannot transport their own bikes.
