Bethal Farmland Ride

Bethal is in the heart of the Mpumalanga Highveld — a large agricultural town surrounded by some of South Africa’s most productive maize and sunflower farming country. The 35km Farmland Ride explores the gravel roads through this productive agricultural landscape on flat to gently rolling terrain with the characteristically vast Highveld sky overhead.

What to Expect

Gravel farm roads on entirely flat to very gently rolling Highveld terrain. Maize and sunflower fields extend to the horizon on both sides of the gravel roads — a genuinely open, spacious riding environment with the Highveld’s characteristic sense of scale and light. Technical demands are minimal and the riding is relaxed and accessible for all abilities.
