Lake Umuzi Gravel Loop
Lake Umuzi is Secunda’s outdoor recreation destination — a managed lake facility near the Sasol petrochemical complex with stocked fishing dams, caravan resort, accommodation and a popular outdoor recreation area for Secunda’s large residential population. The 12km lake loop follows the gravel paths around the dam shoreline with the sunset vistas over the water that have made this a local favourite.
What to Expect
Easy gravel paths and dam shoreline on flat terrain. Waterbirds on the dams, recreational fishermen on the banks and the relaxed lake atmosphere create a pleasant, accessible riding environment. One of the more relaxed MTB options in the Mpumalanga Highveld — suitable for all abilities including children and families.
