Cradle Moon Black Route
The Cradle Moon Black Route is the most demanding trail option at Cradle Moon Lakeside Game Lodge — a 15km technical loop that pushes well beyond the game reserve’s intermediate trails. Rocky descents, challenging features and tight bushveld singletrack make this a standout advanced ride in the Muldersdrift area.
What to Expect
The game reserve setting remains — wildlife encounters are part of the experience — but the terrain is significantly more demanding than the standard loops. Loose rocky descents, off-camber sections and tight singletrack through dense bushveld require focus and solid bike-handling skills. Best suited to experienced riders comfortable on technical terrain.
Getting There
Follow the R563 (Pelindaba Road) west from Muldersdrift. Cradle Moon Lodge is well-signposted. GPS: -26.0456, 27.7834.
