Cradle Moon Trails

Cradle Moon Lakeside Game Lodge has built one of Gauteng’s most memorable riding experiences — 50km of trails through an active game reserve in the Magaliesberg foothills, where zebra, impala and wildebeest share the singletrack. Just 45 minutes from Johannesburg, it’s a natural club destination.

The Trails

Four colour-graded loops cover all abilities. The 10km Green Loop is gentle and accessible with excellent wildlife viewing. The 18km Blue Loop adds proper climbing and more technical terrain. The 12km Red Loop suits stronger intermediates with sustained climbing and rockier descents. The 15km Black Route (see separate listing) is reserved for advanced riders.

The Game Reserve Experience

Wildlife encounters are frequent and unscripted — this is genuine game reserve land, not a sports facility. It’s one of Gauteng’s most immersive natural riding settings.

Follow the R563 (Pelindaba Road) west from Muldersdrift. Cradle Moon is well-signposted on the right. GPS: -26.0456, 27.7834.
