Thabazimbi 20km Bushveld Loop

Thabazimbi is a small mining and Bushveld town on the R510 between Northam and Marakele National Park — an area characterised by iron-ore mining, big game reserves and the wild western Waterberg landscape. The 20km loop follows gravel roads through the Bushveld surrounding the town with the Marakele mountains visible to the north.

What to Expect

Gravel roads and bush tracks on gently rolling western Waterberg terrain. Game on the surrounding farms — giraffe, kudu, impala — creates wildlife interest. The Marakele National Park proximity means the area’s game populations are significant. A convenient intermediate riding option for visitors to the Marakele park area.
