Vaalwater 25km Savanna Loop

Vaalwater is the Waterberg’s central hub town — the main service centre for the game reserves, luxury lodges and conservation areas of the Waterberg Biosphere. Surrounded by big game reserves, cattle farms and the red sandstone Waterberg landscape, the 25km savanna loop follows gravel roads through this extraordinary environment on intermediate terrain accessible to regular riders.

What to Expect

Gravel roads on moderately rolling Waterberg terrain through game reserve and farm boundaries. The Waterberg’s characteristic red sandstone ridges and mixed mopane-broadleaf bushveld create a consistently attractive riding environment. Wildlife including giraffe, kudu and zebra from the surrounding reserves frequently crosses the gravel roads.
