Haenertsburg Village Loop
Haenertsburg is a gem of a village — a small mountain community on the R71 between Polokwane and Tzaneen that has developed a vibrant artisanal food, craft and outdoor culture around its spectacular Magoebaskloof setting. The village is home to South Africa’s northernmost craft brewery (Zwakala), the Cheerio Tea Garden and a community of organic farmers, artists and outdoor enthusiasts. The 12km Village Loop is a gentle introduction to the village and its surroundings.
What to Expect
Easy gravel roads and farm tracks on flat to gently rolling terrain through the Broederstroom valley and surrounding farmland. The avocado orchards, indigenous forest edges and the characteristic mist-belt agricultural landscape of Haenertsburg create a beautiful, relaxed riding environment. Plan for stops at the Cheerio Tea Garden and Zwakala Brewery — both are essential Haenertsburg experiences.
