Amalia Savanna Loop
Amalia is a small farming community in the western North West Province near the Kalahari fringe — a remote agricultural area of flat savanna farmland with the characteristic dry thornveld vegetation and expansive skies of the western highveld plateau. The 30km loop follows gravel farm roads through this open landscape on easy, accessible terrain suitable for all abilities.
What to Expect
Gravel farm roads on flat dry savanna terrain. The western North West’s open landscape — thornveld, red soils and the characteristic Kalahari-fringe vegetation — creates a wide-open, spacious riding environment. Wildlife including springbok, steenbok and Kalahari-fringe birds are visible from the farm roads. A remote, off-the-beaten-track riding destination.
