Port Alfred Marina Loop
Port Alfred is one of the Eastern Cape’s most charming coastal towns — built on the Kowie River estuary with a working marina, Indian Ocean beach and the characteristic relaxed atmosphere of the Eastern Cape holiday coast. The 15km Marina Loop links the marina, river estuary and ocean beach on an easy coastal ride accessible to all abilities.
What to Expect
Paved marina paths and coastal tracks on flat to very gently rolling terrain. The Kowie River estuary, marina moorings and ocean beach create constantly changing water views on a genuinely pleasant easy ride. Port Alfred’s beachfront cafés and restaurants are accessible from the route — the post-ride breakfast or lunch options are excellent.
