    10km advanced Kruin (Summit) Route at Mountain Sanctuary Park — a privately owned nature reserve deep in the Magaliesberg mountains that forms part of the Magalies Monster race circuit, with 12km of difficult mountain singletrack accessible on the full loop but the 10km Kruin option giving access to the summit terrain.

    10km intermediate Hekpoort Valley loop from Sugarbush Hill Cottages — the starting point alternative to the full 50–70km Breedtsnek MTB route, this accessible 10km circuit uses the spectacular Breedtsnek dirt road through the Magaliesberg mountain pass between Rustenburg and Hartbeespoort for a rewarding shorter ride.

    Easy 20km gravel ride from Itsoseng through the central North West Highveld — a rural community town between Lichtenburg and Delareyville surrounded by the typical flat Highveld sunflower and maize farmland of the central North West Province offers accessible, relaxed gravel riding through the agricultural plains.

    Kgaswane Waterfall Trail

    19.5km intermediate Baviaanskrans Route through Kgaswane Mountain Reserve including the waterfall viewpoint and Garden of Remembrance — the 4,500-hectare North West Parks reserve on the northern slopes of the Magaliesberg above Rustenburg hosts 19 marked trails on Trailforks and the Baviaanskrans Route is the most celebrated, combining reserve MTB riding with the waterfall and historic memorial.

    15km intermediate gravel loop from Klerksdorp — the southern North West Province’s largest city in the gold-mining Witwatersrand Far West Rand has gravel roads through the semi-rural farmland and reclaimed mine land surrounding the city, with the rehabilitated mine dump landscape and the open Highveld plains as a distinctive riding environment.
