Eye View 5km Loop
The Hartbeespoort Dam area offers multiple short gravel loops on the approach roads and viewpoint terrain above the dam. The 5km Eye View Loop is the most accessible option — a short circuit on the gravel roads above the dam with the famous Hartbeespoort panorama consistently visible: the dam stretching into the Magaliesberg gorge, the mountain range rising on both sides and the Bushveld plains extending north toward the Pilanesberg.
What to Expect
Easy gravel roads on gently rolling dam-viewpoint terrain. No technical demands. The primary attraction is the view — the Hartbeespoort Dam panorama is one of the most photographed in North West Province and the gravel roads above the dam access it from multiple angles. Suitable for all abilities including families.
